DZ Program

  • The DZ certification is specially designed for those planning to haul any automobile with a registered gross weight or gross weight exceeding 11,000 kilograms or about 12 US tons, or any truck or potential combination of automobiles where the towed vehicle does not weigh over 4,600 kilograms or about 5 US tons.

Learners will be able to operate fire and rescue trucks, cement trucks, garbage service trucks, dump trucks, and straight trucks after obtaining their certification. They will be taught the fundamentals of tractor-trailers and the students will be provided with adequate practical lessons (braking, coupling/uncoupling, pre-tripping, and behind the wheel) as well.

Z Program

  • The majority of commercial trucks in Canada today are equipped with air brakes. Obtaining a license to drive a vehicle of class-A (training available in our institution), class-B (training may be offered in the near future), class-C (training may be offered in the near future), or class-D (training available in our institution) requires the Z certification. Learners will not only be able to distinguish between hydraulic braking systems and air braking systems after completion of the Z program.

  • However, they will also be capable of identifying each of the components of the latter kind. Students will be provided with extensive training on how to carry out a daily inspection of its various components. In addition, they will be taught how to assess whether or not the air braking mechanism is functioning properly. They will also be able to identify the different types of braking systems upon graduating from the said course.

LOG BOOK COURSE

  • Before the National Safety Code (NSC) came into force, the commercial transportation industry in Canada was plagued by overwork. Note that the HOS (hours of service) regulations as stipulated by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), under the aegis of the Department of Transportation, the US government, comes under standard 9 of NSC. Canadian truckers have to comply with the US HOS whilst their American peers must adhere to Canadian NSC as well.

  • The logbook certification aims to impart training in the best practices concerning how to maintain the logbook of commercial automobiles and make learners acquainted with the nuances of the aforementioned rules. In addition, successful completion of this program will help truckers, especially the new ones; prevent the odds of accidents caused by fatigue and stress.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS PROGRAM DOES NOT REQUIRE APPROVAL UNDER PRIVATE CAREER COLLEGES ACT, 2005.

M.E.L.T Program

  • Mandatory Entry Level Training (M.E.L.T.) is introduced by the Canadian Ministry of Transportation to prepare individuals for an exclusive career in commercial driving (class-1 and class-2 vehicles only, i.e., tractor-trailers and buses). Featuring in-vehicle, in-yard, and in-class learning sessions, the said program generally spans 140 to 150 hours of theoretical as well practical classes collectively, including air brake training or Z certification and six hours of hands-on training.

Note that a student may complete this course within a calendar year from the date of registration. However, most learners usually require significantly less time to graduate. To suffice, the class-1 and class-2 M.E.L.T. certifications comprise 113 training hours albeit exclusive of 8.5 hours of air brake training and 50 training hours respectively.

Advanced Program In Trucking Operations (B-Train And Super B-Train)

  • Commercial drivers seeking full-time employment in the forestry or fuel industries will benefit from the B-train and Super B-train certifications. The advanced program in trucking operations will not only provide you with a solid grasp of the basics as well as advanced theories concerning how to drive any such trailer but will also equip you with relevant practical skills through extensive practical training.

  • You will learn how to pre-trip, turn, reverse, and couple/uncouple the flatbeds as well as the trailers. The training sessions will be imparted in four-hour learning blocks and every student will receive adequate opportunities to practice with a fully loaded trailer.
